Overview
The UC Irvine Dermatology Clinical Research Center (DCRC) conducts innovative studies dedicated to evaluating and improving novel therapeutic options for a variety of skin conditions. On-site individual and multi-center clinical trials are implemented for major pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies, as well as investigator initiated studies. The DCRC is actively involved in all phases of clinical testing including FDA approval of investigational drugs and lasers, new indications for drugs, over-the-counter products and cosmeceuticals. Previous studies have included atopic dermatitis, actinic keratosis, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia, acne vulgaris, photoaging, cellulite and acne rosacea. Studies are conducted at Hewitt Hall and the Beckman Laser Center at the UCI campus.
