Margaret Mann MD

Dr. Margaret Mann, M.D., joined the UCI Department of Dermatology as a dermatologic surgeon and a vein specialist in 2007.  She is a board certified dermatologist and a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.  She completed her fellowship in Mohs Micrographic surgery and advanced dermatologic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis.  Prior to joining the faculty at UCI, she was a clinical instructor at Washington University and was actively involved in training residents at the surgical center.  Dr. Mann is committed to excellence in patient care and education, for both patients and physicians-in-training.

Dr. Mann was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Huntington Beach, Orange County.  She received her undergraduate training at Stanford University where she double majored in Biology and Psychology and received top honors for her research in Immunology.  Dr. Mann spent the last ten years in St. Louis, where she completed her medical education and dermatology specialty training at Washington University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Mann’s practice focuses on the management of skin cancer, venous disease, and cosmetic surgery.  Dr. Mann is an expert in all aspects of venous diseases-- venous ulcers, varicose veins, and spider veins.  She is well versed in the full range of venous treatments including endovenous ablation, duplex ultrasound, phlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.  She is also interested in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery techniques such as Botox, fillers, scar revisions, and laser surgery.

She is a primary investigator on several research projects on skin cancer and venous disease, and has lectured on these topics both locally and nationally.  She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.  She is the principle author of a clinical handbook of dermatology, which is due to be published this year.
